Ferreting

Took the ferrets out to the field near my house for another easy training trip.

First burrow there was no one at home, then at the next burrow,a 10 holer,we got a quick bolt followed by a long wait. When the next one bolted it seemed to be in slow motion.I think the ferret had given it a hard time and they were both quite damp so I suspect the burrows are a little too wet to have good numbers in them.

As the youngster came to hand i let the old jill have a look. She just went in one hole and 3-4 mins later came out and wouldn`t go back, I can be absolutely sure that there was nothing left down there :good:

Next burrow was the same size and I put the other youngster in and we had 2 quick bolts and then a very long wait.I think she just wanted to play and I had to get one of the rabbits and try waggling it down the holes, eventually I caught sight as she sauntered past one of the holes so i squeaked her and put the rabbit in and slowly pulled it out and she obliged by following it out :good:

Top afternoon.

1st pic is after the slow bolt.
