Floating Chamber
Well done! You could do with a primer feed on that 600Jr. It is a special one from MEC that is designed for the single stage 600. Saves you handling the primers. It 'senses' if there is a cartridge case (I hate the term 'hull') in the de-cap (de-prime) station, and delivers a primer ready for the next step. No case, no primer. Guest cookoff013
fantastic vid, first i recomend about 20lbs of wad seating pressure, any more and you just crush the wads. they`ll flex back, so no point. the 50lbs pressure is used for blackpowder loads. nitro is more efficient. i have added a extra long crimp plunge to my mec, it is a godsend for european cases. it has about 3mm extra thread. it shouls even help with 67 or 65mm hulls. but i have a short kit and the original crimp plunger. i have the crimp plunger set at about 11-12mm,(thats just under half ` inch ) thats the plunger part in the final crimp stage, the parts i measure to get 11-12mm is the slooted screw portion poking out the top vertically. the pre-crimp i have set up with washers on the column. i forgot the length, but my precrimp is deeper cos i`m using new hulls. as for the cam settings, adjusting this is a biaatch, i used allen keys placed in the adjustment part, to change minimally. You right Cookoff, I found this the hardest bit to get right until I realised just how sensitive it is. That can't be over emphasised. From backed off completely as a starting point, dialling 15 thou at a time wouldn't be a stupid idea. Edited June 5, 2013 by turbo33
