ziplex
Bit much really....same daughter ordered a floater from ebay, payed £5.25 postage, postage cost on parcel?.....£1.40. Far as i'm concerned postage should be at cost. I tend to check costs whereas she was unaware/thought weight may be an issue and has been tucked up, bless her. Moan over. Far as i'm concerned postage should be at cost. It possibly was...cost of wrapping materials, boxing etc, labour cost plus delivery to post office or whatever. Alternative is to visit shop in person and collect. Get used to it 'cause the way things are going the Internet shopper will soon be spending more money than the high street shopper and delivery will be the add on cost. Not to worry everythings cheaper on the Internet Bill Gates is famous for saying years ago that the job of the future will be the delivery man! The only person who'll get to meet other people 'cause the rest will all be stuck in front of their computers. and you thought the world was mad NOW! ziplex
Decoying UK charge £5 for same hide poles plus 10% off for forum members Jonno I would of shopped around Jonno, like I said she was unaware but there we are. We send parcels/boxes from work and pay approx £4.00 up to 20 kilos/2 mtrs .....we don't send out as many consignments as a mail order company either, and we don't charge carriage more often than not as we'd lose business on many accounts if we tried! . I expect to pay carriage but it grates a bit when there is quite obviously a profit involved. Moan aside the poles do look a proper job! Deako
Ziplex, Please tell me which courier company you use mate as that would save us a fortune!
invector
I wonder, is this the same Deako who's courier took weeks to deliver my cradles, having sent them to Ireland??? Or have you changed them now?
Deako
...lol...yup, the very same Deako. :( Yes, we have changed them; for the bulk of the work we now use DHL, but still have to pay £8 plus VAT per consignment... Had an order go out to Lincs last month and ended up in Holland for 2 weeks... *edited to say thanks for the PM Ziplex...
tiercel
How can you moan about the postage when it is clearly stated? You set the amount that you are willing to pay for an item in your mind, then set about trying to find that item at that price. Example an item is advertised @ £20 plus £5 postage total cost £25. Same item from another website £23 plus £2 postage total cost to you £25. if you bought either of the items the cost is the same to you! So why moan about the postage? If you bought the first option and the actual postage came to £2 even though you paid £5 for the P&P; how can you feel that you have been ripped off? The same price you are paying in the end.
