Gordon R
dave - many years ago, there was a lad called Dave who stood outside Nelson's only nightclub - the Imperial Ballroom - on a Saturday night, with a miner's helmet - complete with a working light on it. Are you related in any way?

Are you related in any way? Seen as my family comes from Cheshire, no. But I'm one of these people who will move to where work is. You should try it sometime, working that is
Gordon R
dave - you probably make more rash generalisations than anyone I have ever come across. Are you a Social Worker or Counsellor in the real world? I understand that there is a particular need for them in the Burnley area. :good:
burnleydave
Sorry pal, i got pm'ed yesterday and was told that your were a dole dossier claiming disability. Coming from Bolton I felt this was near a dead cert as I've employed people from Bolton b4 and they didn't last long. No work ethic

Gordon R
dave - I do work for a living, but I have to say that the way you speak about unemployed people makes me sick. Not really sure what a "Dole Dossier" is - some kind of folder?? As for your little gem about Bolton people - I presume when you employed them - you checked that they weren't half wit idlers from wherever you formerly lived. Perhaps you could publish all the PMs you keep getting - especially the one about me. I trust your pals have a decent Solicitor - perhaps Mungler might advise you. Put up or shut up. Call me a cynic, but I find it hard to believe that anyone would support an oddball like you. Edited June 2, 2013 by Gordon R

burnleydave
And why would someone need a solicitor You weird little man? Obviously you have no legal or law knowledge. Lmao
unapalomablanca
Oh my word, you are that thick it's brilliant. The point about people who want to be politicians is that they do so in the pursuit of power and the opportunity to get their noses into the trough. Those are the sort of people who shouldn't be allowed to be politicians, hence..... "Anyone who really wants to be a politician should be stopped from being one". There have been exceptions, love her or hate her, i think most people agree thatcher was a conviction politician, she had a vision and a sense of decency. Bagsy
Deary me, this really is turning into the Burnleydave comedy forum. There's a plot developing which is going to take some working out. Alleged PMs, a verbally abusive woman, a smashed in door, Gordon the "dole dossier" and my personal favourite.........a lefty Mung. Do carry on Dave, I can't wait to see how the story unwinds. Mungler
There have been exceptions, love her or hate her, i think most people agree thatcher was a conviction politician, she had a vision and a sense of decency. Spot on. Thatcher was 100% conviction, she didn't care what other people thought or what the papers would say or how it might look. Alas, it was that in equal measures that unravelled her. But the key here, is Thatcher wasn't in it for the money or personal gain. That just doesn't happen anymore. EDIT Oh, I forgot how much Dave loves an edit Edited June 2, 2013 by Mungler
Thunderbird
Maybe certain people should read up on their Plato, concerning those who seek power not being worthy of it.

burnleydave
Surely though you can't be suitable to practice law in any way. Yes you might just be an ambulance chaser, but by your book shouldn't people who want to be lawyers not be allowed? I've it a lawyer in the family, she oes corporate law but even still i believe lawyers to be lower than politicians
Bagsy
So Gordon's a 'dole dossier', and a lawyer. The plot thickens....... Edit. Because I can. Edited June 2, 2013 by Bagsy
