sepulchre
Took my new sako quad out tonight, god I love .22's there just so damn quiet. After 10 minutes of zeroing at 50 metrs, I turned my attention to some rabbits - and bagged 10 everyone's a head shot, always makes me happy to dispatch them quickly, all skinned, gutted and ready to cook in the morning the summer is just the best time ever. deputy dog
Just purchased a mint second hand Sako Finnfire in .22lr and im well pleased with it fair play. Zeroed at 60mtrs and i was doing five shot groups at 80mtrs all with in a 10p size circle. Been using Winchester Sub through it and be fair its as quiet a rifle as iv ever heard one. Yes as yourself i think im going to have plenty of fun with this rifle and no doubt it will notch up a fair few pests over the coming months. Glad i went one for one variation for my .17 hmr. Although i did like it at first, i soon found after a couple if shots every thing ducked for cover and thats no go for a productive day. This Finn Fire is way more suited for the job asked of it, so im glad i did the swap. DD

Rimfireboy
Sako are now making a Finnfire 2. Look's very nice. http://www.sako.fi/sakofinnfire2.php I'll be interested to have a look when they're in the shops, to see if they're as nice as the original finnfire. I'm prepared to be dissapointed, but I hope I'm wrong.

sepulchre
nice bag im now a new fan of the 22 its a wicked tool on the rabbits... I've always loved the .22 for rabbits, moderated its whisper quiet with subs, and pin point accurate to 100 or so meters (my best 136m using a mildot scope).
