Lots of rumours flying around about the new ground.

Has anyone shot it recently? or know what, if anything is happening?.

Hi Terry hope you are well, hear your a very busy man these days and so deserved.

Not sure what the rumours are but shot at AGL Thursday evening as they are opening extra hours 5 till 8pm on Thursdays at the mo with special rates on clays.

They have just installed and opened a Grouse Butt. A new kitchen is going in for serving grub on top of all the new stands and general infrastructure they have already invested in so all looks good.

Its definitely an improvement on what it had become especially with getting the shooting over the fields back.

Hope to see you soon :)

Hi Lee

I am well as I hope you are.

I cannot say what the rumours are, but it is good to see a positive response.

I will have to nip up there one evening and have a look and a shoot at the Grouse Butts.

There is certainly a BIG IMPROVEMENT to what it was just a few months ago, long may it continue.

Cheers

Terry

Says they are closed on their website. Sounds griefy.

Please do not get AGL confused with the previous tenants. It is now the AGL Shooing Ground, not Broomhills. It is a gazillion times better than the old shower of sh...ooters. Give it time and i'm confident it ill be regarded as one of the great shooting grounds in the area (up there with WLSS and EJ Churchills)

Here is their website; http://www.agl-uk.com/

I visited the new Broomhills on Sunday and have to say that I was impressed. They are making some real progress now, it seems a lot cleaner and well organised. There are new stands which change every 3 weeks and a great grouse butt, which is challenging.

I asked them about pricing and they explained that the money is being put back in and it shows. I am contemplating becoming a member as that seems good value.

I can only echo the above. Although, not shot the grouse yet but heard good things form those that have.

The membership deal is pretty good actually, makes it more viable. But join with somebody else and you save money.

I went down there on Wednesday morning - its very good now. The Grouse Butt is super fun.

Price wise, its in the upper price bracket, but if you take the 10 stands and do 3 pairs on each you only end up on a sixty bird shoot which helps keep the cost down somewhat - if you want to go back to any stands, then the price is more bearable and you feel like you've had your moneys worth.

Once they get a kitchen up and running it'll be spot on.
