sixhills 69
Hi Guys hope you can help ok to start with I don't us a shotgun much but will be in the coming months. I pattern tested both guns I was happy with my semi auto but I found when I fired my under and over I was hitting 10inches left and 6 inches low of the centre off the aim point. I have heard that I have heard I can do things to make it fire straight. I would be great full for any ideas. Thanks guys
Vince Green
Both barrels to the same place?
wymberley
Using an eye level mirror, look into it and with the self loader mount it to shoot your "aiming" eye. Hold still and note the position of the eye in relation to the barrel. Now do it with the OU being careful not to attempt to make any correction should there be an error as it's any error that you're looking for. Is your eye to the left of the rib and partially obscured by it? Or where? Where was your eye on the self loader in relation to the barrel? bruno22rf
Get someone else to try the gun-if they get the same results then the only reasons could be bent barrels or a rib/barrel alignment problem.
sixhills 69
Both barrels to the same place? Both barrels shoot in the Same place low and left
subsonicnat
The EYE has to move relative to the shot placement. Go From There: As you would with a rifle rear sight:
Vince Green
This is why its good to pattern test your gun! Its quite common to find each barrel shooting to a different point, both barrels (?) I don't know. what range are we talking about? Are you sure its not flinching on your part? Its more common than you would think on a static shot. Edited June 26, 2013 by Vince Green

jonesbach
changing the butt length will make the gun longer (as if the stock was lengthed) this will change the shot placement as the gun no longer gets mounted in the same place. welshwarrior
Go and see a competent coach would will look at the gun fit first that will most likely be the issue. If not they and a good gunsmith will help find what's wrong with the gun.
sixhills 69
Thanks for the replies I think i will go and see a good coach and have the gun check to see if extending the butt will sort out the problem it's not easy having to make the extra allowances on top of normal lead. subsonicnat
it wants CAST ON, and the cheek piece RAISING: it will then aim more LEFT, cheek riser, and by raising your head so to speak, you will be forced to raise the barrels: Simple:
