matt fieldcrafter-uk
Hi fellas just got 100 acres more permission last night . It's just crow shooting at the moment but things develop ! With the height of the crop I'm planning to use a flapper and some bouncers , iv used the magnet before but I was Uncertain to how effective it was with corvids . I'm going to take it with me today anyway , but any advice on there use with the black feather would be great . All the best , matt
Cranfield
I use a rotary for rooks/crows and it can be very effective. I also run it at a slower speed that when I am decoying pigeons, too fast can spook them.
matt fieldcrafter-uk
Thanks both speeds spooked them today !! Total of 18 a magpie and 2 feral Pigeons !
30-6
I have tried it on corvids in the past with little luck. What i have done though is put it about 100 yds FROM the pattern of decoys, to just get them in the area and they then fly over.
Tod
Never bother with the magnet for crows but the flapper works a treat

wacker
I shot 118 the other week with a flapper and some decoys. Shot 84 the week before in the same place! I found that they didn't like a rotary though.
steve_b_wales
I found that a rota is more effective on Jackdaw's and young Crows. A flapper, with an intermittent timer attached is excellent.
