If it is basic 304 grade or similar bend a piece of stout wire to the bend that you require by bending it round a piece of pipe

keeping it flat into the bend and out . Then mark where the bend starts on each leg of the bend with chalk.

Decide where you want the bend to be on the piece of your bar , mark the start of the bend and roll the wire template alonge the bar

giving you the bend length , mark again . Now we have two marks on the bar get the bar red hot with the gas torch

with a small can of water quench the red area nearly back to the chalk marks , Then quickly pull the bar round square.

Let it cool do not quench in water as we are not sure of the grade.

I've silver soldered stainless and it went a dull cherry red without subsequently rusting (just stayed a bit black around the soldered area), but if stainless has been heated to cherry red then there is a risk of rust.

Google Pickling Paste and you will find something like below ...

Sandvik provides two types of pickling paste for cleaning and passivating of welding joints and the heat affected zone (HAZ) in welded stainless steel constructions.

The pickling paste removes the naturally occurring oxide layer and the chromium depleted layer under the oxide. The result is a perfect weld with the required corrosion resistance.
