  1. Many thanks for the replies . I may try using a fiber sight on the rib just in front of the fitted bead, this would depress the sighting picture.
  2. I am looking for a game or hunting stock that usually has a greater drop at heal. The standard stock fitted is 51mm drop at heal. The MK60 is also the same , So no help there. Does anyone know of a stock that would give me more drop at heal and fit a MK 70 20 gauge.
  3. This was a caged animal well fed. These male gorillas in the wild are very gentle and caring towards their little ones. This gorilla supported the child in the water to start with until people started to get excited. He was calm and had a look round as if to say what should I do now . As I say he was not hungry he was not like a lion that would kill if in contact with a child - He was a very thoughtful Guy but not given any protection by the zoo from idiotic visitors and the use of the gun in American life. Given half a chance he would have probably cared for the child and keepers could have removed the boy. If male gorillas in the wild were killers their own population would not thrive.
  4. Hello Tony I had it sent via RFD to a gun shop in Solihull that is not far from me. The Rugby Gunshop are top notch and as you say very keen to advise I will try them. Perhaps this posting will alert and inform our fellow shooters. Many thanks John.
  5. Many thanks Tony. This is where buyers of used autos should remove and inspect the piston assy for damage. I was really taken to the cleaners with this gun the seller did not point out that piston was cracked and had chisel marks inside the piston bore. This was a RFD to RFD buy at distance.
  6. Wanted Browning Fusion or Winchester X2 Piston in a serviceable condition in 20gauge
  7. If you look on the Siarm site some internal diameters of 12G and 20 G are smaller. Not all hulls are given a size so some care is needed to get what you want. But if you are looking for thicker hull walls look up their spec.
  8. To get any enterprise off the ground you need a product that will sell in your case sell in volume, cheaper ,eye catching, clean burning, readily available. Try to keep your production very basic i.e 3 shot sizes plastic or fiber. Many shooters are switching to 20 gauge .Try offering 12 gauge in 7/8 and 1ounce remember how popular the Impax was. Choose a very short name for your product that will make it be very potent and hard to forget register this name as your property, This is important get advice at local chamber of commerce. Have all printed cartons, boxes, cartridges, In Eye catching form keep it very simple in one colour only. If you choose a logo make it easy for the printers, register it also. Have a web site. Get your product reviewed. Make it available at shows venues etc - if it is a good product it will sell. Like any venture it will require a little luck - try not to run around at every sign of interest in your product think first. Atb dingo45.

  11. What the blazes did I come into this garage for? ? ???
  12. If you buy a diesel spray clean the MAF sensor with the right stuff. Another thing is clean out the EGR valve system properly. Not a very nice job but then again well worth it if the EGR valve is taken off the engine and cleaned .While doing so scrape clean the exhaust muck out of the system you can see using vac at the same time. Our Zafira was an old boot but now its superb. Its all on the net just try it.
  13. Rather foolish shooting at wood with a low powered airgun. Pellets have a habit of rebounding very quickly, my friends son lost his right eye like this glasses or no glasses. Please do not do this Oops wrong subject.
  14. A two year old Giraffe has been put down by captive bolt gun because it did not suit the zoo directors ideas of breeding. Here we get a good insight into what some of our close Danish neighbours think is ok to do. They have a recent history in eugenics.

There is very little mention of the victim in the papers or public chit chat . One of our citizens has had her throat cut - This is no time for papers or TV to use it to bulk out their pitiful reporting or for profit.
  16. I bought some I should have opened some up the shot was ****. Oxidised mishaped and not polished with graphite.
  17. Which government let credit rip with no real hard cash in the banks people bought houses , then remorgaged for cars ,holidays and what have you The result a pound worth What!.
  18. Great offer I would like 30 kilos please let me know the details - Thanks John.
  19. If it is basic 304 grade or similar bend a piece of stout wire to the bend that you require by bending it round a piece of pipe keeping it flat into the bend and out . Then mark where the bend starts on each leg of the bend with chalk. Decide where you want the bend to be on the piece of your bar , mark the start of the bend and roll the wire template alonge the bar giving you the bend length , mark again . Now we have two marks on the bar get the bar red hot with the gas torch with a small can of water quench the red area nearly back to the chalk marks , Then quickly pull the bar round square. Let it cool do not quench in water as we are not sure of the grade.
  20. Many years ago I had a Rem 1100 with full choke a good third of the shot hit the entry diameter of the tube . In the end I removed the cutts piece and had a short threaded tube which was knurled and about 1.5 inches long. This fitted between the barrel and whatever choke I wanted. As for the cutts compensater it was usless by the time the shot left the barrel it had spread out crossing the length of the cutts it then hit the upper part of any choke deforming a good portion of the shot fired . The spreader acts as a venturi opening up the shot charge.
  21. Have a look at your firing pin some have machine marks left from manufacture leading to a fracture of the primer surface. The firing pin should give a smooth indent , Have a look at a pile of empties left by a clay shoot and see what I mean. Or better still take a spent primer to bits see how thin the cup is. hope this helps - John
  22. Another idea - socialist - That in the end runs out of other peoples money. Propped up by governments printing money to hold up the property bubble. What is the real value of our pound ?. In 1996 Ed Balls and Tony Blair decided a tax raid on our pensions a year before the were elected the result a 3 billion take on the invested funds of money put away for your and mine old age. Its like running UK Limited but having 3 billion each year to start to make the business pay. I have run my own business life is just not like that , those two were chancers but got away with it now were in the cack.
  23. Three quaters of that brass head is fiber filler they look impressive but give normal performance.
  24. Far from hardening the action again , Chroming in the first place hardens the steel I dought if our Italian friends had the action De -embrittled which is the norm. So I would guess the action is hard surfaced now . Try it with a scriber where it will not show.
  25. You quote a bushing have you got scale to measure actual powder drops .
