Luke.R Posted July 6, 2013 Report Share Posted July 6, 2013 (edited) I just drop the mag out a little bit cock the bolt so it stays open on my 10/22 then push the mag back home. To fire just pull the bolt handle back a little and take it forward under control to make it quite then shoot. have to be a bit carefull with this method on the 1022,if your rifle gets knocked it slams the action closed (i didnt realise until my gunsmith pointed it out to me) iv seen a brass deflector somwhere that clips onto the scope rail and makes the brass deflect downwards, might help with the vent issue?
