Sprackles
As the title really....just gone to take SGC from cupboard as I wanted more carts only it wasn't there.Daughter had a tidy out of the cupboards a while ago but swears she never touched it. It was in a plain envelope so I'm worried she's binned it. I have not given up looking yet but has anyone else had this...is it much hassle to get replaced ? Wiltsmark
It's no hassle to replace it, as like everything these days it will cost you. I had my car broke into and mine stolen. Just call the FEO and they will send a replacement, mine cost £8 two years ago from Wiltshire constabulary and took three days to come. Always get good service from them by the way. stubby
thats the reason you normally put it in a leather cert wallet and keep it either on your person, coat pocket or your gun safe, and NOT in an envelope in a cupboard

aga man
notify firearms licensing by letter and enclose a cheque for £8 {ringing them might save the hassle of writing to them}. you will probably end up finding yours anyway.

saddler
Guarantee that as soon as I put the phone down it will turn up........ Want to know how many times I have "lost" mine - it's always in a jacket pocket that I forgot I had on, or in a bag that I used as a one-off....or under a pile of catalogues, etc.
beesley121
Give it another week or so before you inform them. I bet it turns up! It's soda law you'll buy another and then find the original
saddler
Give it another week or so before you inform them. I bet it turns up! It's soda law you'll buy another and then find the original The LAW states that in such cases you MUST fill in all the void purchase spaces on both copies within 48 hours - at least that'd be a good reason to explain a buying splurge to the Mrs
JDog
When you find it, or get a replacement, have a colour photocopy done on identical paper to your certificate (or more than one if you lose them frequently). The copies are so good nowadays that they can easily pass for the real thing.
