I've fed all mine on Skinners crunchy for several years and they all do well on it. Dabbled with others now and then as a test but always go back to Skinners. oscarsdad
My two are both on field and trial - I vary it a bit and currently they are both on ruff and ready. They also have maintenance and museli mix as well.
pigeonblasterian
I have fed my springer on Chudleys,Arden grange and Chapel farm. She never took to any of them and i was always mixing other stuff in with her food to try and coax her to eat it. I am now feeding Skinners maintenance and have been for the past six weeks and not once have i had to mix anything in it to coax her to eat it. She might get sick of the Skinners in time but it is the only food she has taken too straight away.

ferguson_tom
Mine are on the salmon and rice and do well on it, I found them a bit loose on the duck and rice one. I couldnt get hold of there normal food the other week and so picked up some Wag from Tesco. What i pile of **** that is my springer started to loose weight so virtually doubled her portion size and then the amount they poo was about twice as much as normal. FalconFN
As others have said, I've tried Dr Johns, Chudley's, Arden etc, etc but always come back to Skinners duck and rice although working 23 and maintenance are pretty good too. I do give raw rabbit, chicken and some Chappie mixed in too but mainly dry.
jimmyb79
Nothing wrong with Skinners, all mine are on it. Just as an aside, Ruff n Ready is the same as muesli mix. Only difference is the VAT you pay on Ruff n Ready! If dogs have runny poo on it, it's because they were changed over too quickly and not given long enough on it. Muesli mix with my labs produces the driest waste I've ever seen! (Delightful!)

They are very similar but not quite the same, ruff and ready has fish protein pellets in it which muesli doesn't...mine are getting maintenance mix for their next bag though I think. jimmyb79
Ah yes, my mistake, there is that minor difference to satisfy HMRC that its a working dog food. I've got a mix of maintenance and muesli going now. The dogs love it and they look great on it.

That's exactly what mine have been on until trying ruff and ready recently, but I will save the £4 ish a bag and go back to that.
