Are these the Stearns "Real Trees" jackets on Ebay?

I'm looking to take the sport back up again after an absence and plan everything from decoying, roosting as well as walked up/rough pheasants and other game. But really don't know what I should be looking for to meet all these requirements.

Are these jackets:

a) suitable for all of the above niches

:yp: acceptable on the more formal shoots

c) vfm

:yp: :):D Hi there I was going to refere members to the article in this weeks ANGLING TIMES,until I clicked on tob Deako`s recommended site.

First class or what.

HOWEVER.

Matt Hayes is advertising a range of CAMMO gear. which looks very tasty , and if I hadn`t bought one last year I would certanly buy the 3/4 jacket . The range is an ADVATAGE pattern and looks very good.

The web site is www.totalfishinggear.co.uk

I thought the trousers a bit pricy.

After saying this I tryed the web site and it has not been completed yet,

the ANGLING TIMES is on sale at allgood news agents.

Hmm just found out that Matt Hayes is a coarse fisherman!

What the fack was he doing catching Welsh sea trout in this month's T&S?! :)

That clothing at that price - hardly seemed worth it.

Besides - everyone knows the best way to catch carp is on fly! :yp:

Stag,

I fish for salmon and sea trout in Devon and Wales.

The shooting I'm hoping will fill the gap and provide some welcome "sport" when conditions aren't right. :yp:

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have discovered something about these coats (and will try to tread carefully here). The "Advantage" and "Realtree" names are sold, under license, to various manufacturers in the UK and abroad from Shark to Stearns, Cabelas, Whitewater Outdoors and Deben.

There's some 70+ companies. :)

I presume these companies then manufacture the various coats along the various styles but as to which makes are truly reliable or offer genuine value for money when it comes to the crunch in terms of waterproof, breathability, wear, warmth, build quality and so on is anyone's guess.

Some use dupont, others Gortex and other (cheaper?) materials

Looks like a potential minefield out there for the unwary buyer...
