Hello from Staffordshire

Recommended Posts

Hello folks,

New to the forum.

Im 24 from Staffs. I've had air rifles all my life, not done alot of shooting but always had one about me. Currently got a Daystate X2 Sports.

Went on a clay pigeon shoot last year and absolutely loved it and I was pretty good according to the instructor.

I went out with my mate for my first night shooting quarry with a shotgun and I got 2 rabbits out of 2 shots. I was really pleased and I have definitely got the bug.

I am looking to gain some shotgun knowledge from the forum. My head is currently exploding with the different gauges, chokes, cartridge sizes etc.

My mate shoots with a 12 gauge side by side and a 12 gauge hatsan semi-auto. I love the semi auto.

He generally shoots 28g 7.5 cartridges and whilst he informs me that these are predominently for clays, he has good success with these rough shooting and decoying.

I have just filled out the paperwork for my SGC today, will be fitting the cabinet this week.

Hope to speak to some of you soon.

Gaz.

I'm told its about 5 months at the moment . Firearms licensing are in the middle of a merger with west mids so nothing is happening quickly

Where about in Stoke are you

5 months! Jesus. That's horrendous. Better get it sent off ASAP.

I'm in Kidsgrove fella. Originally from Werrington and Weston Coyney. How about you?

Welcome to the mad house. :yahoo::welcomeani::yahoo:

Make sure you get a cabinet that is big enough. This is a very addictive sport. You'll soon want to get another shotty and possibly a rimfire for the bunnies. I fell into the trap. "Only want a three gun cabinet as it is unlikely I will be getting another!!!" Oh dear! It is now occupied by two shotties and a .22lr rimfire. Looking to get a .223 CF for the foxes.
