vulpicide
What breed of dog is it ? if its a lab the hooligan stage last till 2+ if its not fully mature you may find that by removing its chuckies you lock it into adolessence. All my dogs and bitches bar one are and have been entire a lot of people and organisations blame hormones for lack of training and socialising. welsh1
Have a chat to your vet, they will give advice as to the age it is best to castrate to make sure the dog has matured, and also will advise if your breed is susceptible to things like testicular cancer and it would be in the dogs interest. I had my Brittany spaniel done,it hasn't affected his work ethic, and it will go a long way to protect him from testicular cancer which the vet advised is common in the breed later in life, even though he has been chopped he is still "nuts". I also have no worries when he humps every bitch that crosses his path,he does like a black lab
bi9johnny
had mine done at 18-20 months if i recall, he was like a stroppy teenager before and more interested in sniffing bitch and fox urine than what he was supposed to be doing. now he's a chilled out layback type of guy lol
WGD
Unless a dog was uncontrollably aggressive toward other male dogs or extremely over-sexed there is little castration will achieve that proper training won't.

welsh1
Very !!! Ha il pop in vets on way home see what they say them again it's money for them so they will only go one way ?.... A good vet will put the well being of the animal above making money,if you think your vet may be putting money over animal look for another vets. Most will give you good sound advice, they want your custom for years to come.
