russuk
Hi folks. Absoloute beginner to clays here, are there any shoots in the Manchester and surrounding areas. I'm looking for somewhere I can have an introductory lesson, and then go regularly and use a club gun (no SGC yet). In another thread Pin posted... "If you can be bothered to travel to Enfield in North London you can have 50 shells, 50 clays and use of a gun with a bloke taking you round for £25" Somewhere like that oop here would be perfect. Thanks in advance.
Markio
Try the CPSA site. http://www.cpsa.co.uk/ Look at the 'find a club' link on the left of the page. At the very least it will give you CPSA registered gun clubs and you can give them a call and find out if they have instructors, gun hire etc.

Catamong
Webber is spot on, Worsley Grange is a good ground, ideal for beginners, I think they may have re-named it "Manchester Clay Shooting Club" recently? Cat
Gordon R
Russuk - depends where in Manchester and how far you want to travel. Holmfirth Shooting School. Nice people, who will get you shooting safely, well and in a friendly atmosphere. Nearer home, A6 at Westhoughton do lessons. Rishton, near Accrington - very friendly, cheap clay club, with superb food. Plenty of people to show you how to shoot. If you are in that area - put a post on Gundeals Forum UK. The owner shoots there a lot, as do I and a host of others. Anyone would gladly show you how to shoot, including any of our little squad (Forget the little - Mark Sw is the smallest at 16 stone). That would cost you £10 clays and £6 shells.
