neil82
a dual mass flywheel is another bloody nightmare designed to make a job cost twice as much to put right when it goes wrong, its actually a two piece flywheel with damping springs built into it, there are tests that can be done to see if its ok to reuse, but in reality, if you`ve gone to the trouble of removing the box to check it would be idiotic to leave it there, can work out cheaper to buy a full kit rather than strip it to replace clutch then source the flywheel there are kits that convert to solid flywheels but I would be wary of using one
Royboy
Clutch has gone . If it has already got a DMF I'm sure you can buy a solid flywheel conversion for these. If its the old 1800 turbo diesel
la bala
the more modern they make things, the more problematic and expensive they get.

NIGHT SEARCHER
EURO CAR PARTS. They do clutch kits to convert to solid flywheel. (ie) New solid flywheel. Clutch. Pressure plate. Thrust Bearing. At very good prices. www.eurocarparts.com Edited August 19, 2013 by NIGHT SEARCHER
