camokid
hi all i friend of mine asked me to sort out one of his clients red stag skulls.. it was a whopper a full 12 point.. i do a lot of skull prepping work but this head was fresh out of velvet and the antlers where still very pail ..well white.. it looked terrible when is came out of the boil and wash so there was some work ahead.. just after boil you can see the antlers look terrible image url after the bleaching to give the fresh white look it was time to start on the antlers i gave it several coats of stain more in certain areas (potass permang) some sanding and two coats of linseed oil this process gives the antlers a better colour and the shine it had when it was alive...... printscreen im very pleased with it .... thanks andy

wildfowler.250
Made a great job of that! What did you use? I did a roe a few years ago with a wood paint. Worked pretty well but it's too dark to be realistic.
