Will Poon
I don't shoot trap as it bores me but I do like a fast fire flurry at the end of the day of a sporting shoot, calling for the bird with all known obscenity into the speaker makes me chuckle inside . So what's out there that you trap shooters can reccomend , ideally an adjustable stock with a good pedigree, I've seen some of those Caesar Guerini that looks very nice indeed . My current P gun does the job fine but I'm after a dedicated trap gun so what can you reccomend Edited September 27, 2013 by Willpoon
HDAV
Perazzi are the ones to have but lesser makes kemen, zoli etc worth a look, MK38 another choice depends on budget?
Will Poon
About 5k to 6k for a decent used one Edited September 27, 2013 by Willpoon
welshwarrior
Perarzzi for my money or a cheaper and IMHO better option Gamba Daytona. I would avoid the Zoli Kronos nice gun well weighted feels right BUT I coach at a ground with 2 both are going back 3-4 months and the top levers are loose loads of left to right play in them. One may be in lucky 2 not impressed at £3.5-4k only fire 6,000 a piece roughly.
BlaserF3
If I were you I would have an adjustable comb fitted to your existing gun. Five minutes with an allen key, you have a decent Trap gun. There is an old saying "Beware the man with one gun". But I know that you won't listen to me

But I know that you won't listen to me Mike, I tried that with my adjustable Browning sporter, didnt work and just confused myself..... reset to where it needed to be for sporting and never fiddled with it since.... BlaserF3
Will just likes buying guns methinks, I have been through that phase myself, the only winner is the gun shop. It's just that his Perazzi shoots "flat" which makes DTL hard work as clays have to be blotted out, for other trap disciplines it should not be too bad, but his gun is too light for me though. shaun4860
I'm sure that shuan4860 is taking the P,or maybe knows something that we don't Moi? well yes as regards my Beretta But truthful about the rest, For that money I think I would be looking at Krieghoff as I said I couldnt get away with my mates Perazzi, but a high grade Miroku would work also and spend the change on cartridges
Rupert
Could you get a K80 for £6k Yes you can,and 8 thousand shells What you looking to trade Will?
BlaserF3
I've had a couple of K80's which I used for sporting, as I don't shoot Trap, one was a 30" Trap gun with a different barrel hanger, the other was a 32" Super Sport I found both of them hard work on some targets, just to me getting old and lacking the muscle to overcome the sheer weight of the gun. But for going away stuff it was just like supping tea

Will Poon
The plan is to get a re blued MX8 trap gun fixed and multi , so the metal work should be mint and I'll put an nill griffe evo stock on it in total it will be quite a cheap adjustable perazzi trap gun , Brian at malmos Is sourcing the gun which should be at his shop in a week or so, but I've been told by a little birdy that the gun has been sold however speaking to malmo guns today the gun should be with them very soon . Anyway if that falls through there's 3 guns that look interesting at malmos http://www.gunstar.co.uk/trade/trade-advert.aspx?id=115402 http://www.gunstar.co.uk/trade/trade-advert.aspx?id=118434 http://www.gunstar.co.uk/trade/trade-advert.aspx?id=86701 All of them tick the boxes with me and what's best is that someone on this forum has messaged me about a nice Krieghoff that they want to sell , hmmmm decisions decisions
tweedledee
Can't rate Caesar guerini highly enough
BlaserF3
Apart from the K80 the Perazzi Trap guns with the raised rib are slightly different to shoot this http://www.gunstar.co.uk/trade/trade-advert.aspx?id=104922 for the money takes some beating. Did you not notice the recoil pads on the P guns are set up for a lady or a fat person? I think that you only want another Perazzi so that you don't have to buy another skeet vest. Will Poon
I did wonder about the recoil pad on the perazzis .
