kennym
Anyone had a go at practical shotgun? Only heard about it recently just wondered if anyone had any experience of it?
Malik
Seen plenty of talk about practical shotgun over the last couple of days, it does look interesting. I had a search on google, haven't got a clue where they do it though. Id like to have a try, something different from the clays i normally shoot. ChAoS
I shoot PSG as much as I can. A good place to get a "feel" for it would be to lurk on or join the forums here: http://four4islands.org I belong to the RSC (Romsey Shooting Club) and mainly shoot at Popham, near Basingstoke. We also go to Shield, near Dorchester, and Bisley. No doubt Mr Smith will be along, soon, to comment. (He knoweth what he talketh about...) Regards, Mark. The Mighty Prawn
Great fun but lots of pressure, one fumbled cartridge in a reload and you plummet down the tables, shooting a mate's pump recently and couldn't cycle a spent cartridge so by the time I'd cleared and shot the round I had taken four times longer than the last place shooter - head hung in shame! ste12b
We also shoot PSG at Diggle. If you look on the calendar below and come along you will be able to see what it is all about. Try to be there before 9AM. If you want to take part and do not have a sec1 shotgun, bring along a sec2 as we have people who currently do that. Also bring eye and hearing protection. http://www.diggleranges.com/index.php/diggle-2013-calendar

phaedra1106
Yes, Mayfair still do PSG, once a month, next dates are Oct 28th, Nov 30th and Dec 28th. The shoot is about half way between High Pittington and Easington Lane so not too far from Teeside. Usually get there about 10am as the access gate gets shut at 10:30 If you put Hetton Le Hill into Google Maps there's a large wood to the left (Quarryhouse Wood) and 2 bus stops, the entrance is about 50yds past those on your left if driving back towards Hetton Le Hill. Tyne Valley are rifle only no PSG, very friendly if you want to pop along to Ponteland range, next shoot is Nov. 10th on A range, get there about 12 start at 12:30 Edited October 17, 2013 by phaedra1106
