four-wheel-drive
Seconded you just never know the extent of the repair and how well it has been repaired and things like rustproofing can be overlooked or not quite as good as original. If it was in 2003 it would have been fairly substantial damage as the truck would have been fairly new You made me smile when you said about rust proofing have you forgotten this is a Land Rover we are talking about rust is included in the deal when you buy a new one. :whistling:
lincs1963
Any other vehicle and I would walk away, however a defender is different. Lots of old rovers have very few of their original parts on them, from chassis through to body panels and engines. I would take someone who knows their way around these vehicles and go with an open mind. Just my opinion, Neil.
figgy
Old Land Rovers can be completely stripped and rebuilt with two screwdrivers some pliers and a very large hammer. figgy
snowmonster
Get yourself round these parts you can buy a brand new old one round here for a lot less than the figure you quoted, either on original or Q plated . Keep forgetting location not given, but that would be sunny south yorks by the sea.

goldypurple
Thanks guys for the advice, think I will probably give it a miss, as it's quite pricey and don't think seller wants to budge. I've found a newer Landy more local to go and have a look at, will see tomorrow :-)
