So..........2nd hand moss 935..............................took it onto the field today....

set up a big cardboard box.....................a big big big box................

stuck a sticker on it about an inch diameter on the box............retreated about 15 paces...............and let rip with 3 shots.......

Blew the sticker off..........and seemed quite central...........

All shots seemed to be around the target mark.......

ASSUME ive no problems.......................never missed the mark..................pattern was spread in general all round mark.................

Try putting a plain piece of A4, or A3 paper on the "big cardboard box" and mark an oval on it, about the same size as a pigeon.

Pace out 30 yards and fire one shot only, having aimed for the middle of the oval.

This will show you how many pellets are in the target area and how many could have hit vital spots on the bird.

Am I right in saying that at close range the shot pattern should be high?

To allow for this I was always told to aim at a rabbits feet at 20 yards to ensure that it hit it in the chest.

Don

that was my understanding???

Kipper
