Cockermax
is there a magic way of removing the plastic body from the brass of a used shotgun cartridge? Every time I try seem to end up damaging the brass. Thanks for any help.

Cockermax
Thanks for that works a treat. Knew there had to be an easier way than using a 2lb sledge hammer & brute force.

Lord Geordie
If your using the brass for anything decorative then use a cooking blow torch or similar. Takes seconds to heat and does not blacken the metal. If you need any info let me know as I do this on a regular basis making things from old carts.
