mpk
So, Just found 2 pheasant crowns left over from January, they had been hung only for a day and the prepped, wrapped in bacon and Thyme then in the deep freeze the whole time. Obviously I'll defrost them and give them the smell test but they look ok and I really fancy some pheasant pasties Would you eat it ?? Cheers

aris
Steaks have been eaten from frozen woolly mammoths found in the tundra. You'll be quite fine after 2 years - even 20. Flavour may fade, but if it never defrosted, it should be fine. Just make sure it is cooked through.
mpk
I would love a go on those wooly mammoths yum yum indeed. @fenboy, probably a bit of a trek in this weather mate but I can post a pic of some if you like
kent
No, I should cook it up for the dog and take more care with my freezer stock. You don't want to know how much that pheasant breast cost in electric to keep that long in the freezer, its scary

peek-at
I thought you could keep chicken in the freezer for ages but after just a week mine was dead!
spandit
Apparently vacuum sealers help prevent or lessen freezer burn
