harrycatcat1
My laptop runs ok for three minutes then freezes the curser moves but you cant click on anything. I press it off at the mains then start it up and after a long wait it finally ststs up for another three minutes ground hog time. Any easy cures or is it both barrels with the BB's? harrycatcat1
What is the restore disk?
bruno22rf
Try starting in SAFE mode before restoring. You could also be experiencing a build up of static (turn off/remove battery/hold ON button down for 1 minute/replace battery/start as normal). harrycatcat1
Thanks Mat i might need them. My phone battery went dead last night before thanking everyone for their help. I switched the laptop off and removed the battery and will try it again shortly. Thanks again. Hcc
TbirdX
I would suspect that the cooling is kaput, that could be why it lasts three minutes, it overheats and then freezes, cools off, restarts and then repeats. If you can get into the bios, there should be somewhere in there that shows you the CPU temps, if you can find it you could at least confirm or eliminate that one. p.s. check all vents and grills on the case are clear as well.
