BBs

Recommended Posts

i was out walking the dog and came across a guy in a field trying out a 12 bore home load cartridge for geese, he told me it was loaded with 100 BBs which he intended to use for inland shooting of geese. He did tell me the charge weight but i have forgotten. It was a 3.5 inch cartridge and it certainly gave hime a jolt when he fired it. What would the 100 BBs weigh, and what charge would be behind them. I am assuming the shot was lead as he said he was using it through a full choke barrel of his u/o. He had a 4ft x 4ft piece of card out at 60yds, and i would think no more than 30% of pellets hit the card and they were well spaced.
