shaun4860
I had a Nighteater 6x24x56 on mine, Really impressed Although I'm a fan of the Hawke scopes as well
steyrman
Simmons Diamond mag 3.8-12x44
kent
I have a leupold 3-9 on mine. That's about all that needs saying. Of course you could get a 8-60x 70mm with illuminated reticule, built in range finder and turrets that dial themselves
Mentalmac
I have a Hawke 6-24x50 on mine - good to have a high mag as an option... i find i leave it on low mag mostly but when the winds low and I spot a 200 yard rabbit the 24 comes in handy! Frenchieboy
I think that Simmons scopes are real value for money. OK they might not be classed as 2Top of the range" by some but they really are great value for money. I have Simmons on all of my rifles including a WTC on my .222 and another WTC to go on my .303 as soon as I get it. When I had a .17HMR I had a Simmons Pro-Hunter on that and it did everything i asked of it and never let me down in either day light or on the lamp - An alternative would be the Simmons Atec which is a small step up from the Pro-Hunter, there is one on my .243 which I have just sold and it is a great scope that never needs re-zeroing. (J Rabsbottoms are doing the Simmons Pro-Hunter for under £50 at the moment - A real bargain if you ask me. I would not hesitate in suggesting a Simmons Scope (Pro-Hunter, Atec or WTC) to go on a .17HMR.

Muddy Funker
WTC for me too. Great scope, bought off a member here actually.
Harry Callahan
Another vote here for a Hawke 6-24x50. For rabbit work iv found i dont need any more as 10x magnification (used a Bushnell 3-9x40 for the previous 6 years on the HMR), but the higher mag comes into its own for long range carrion work.
