spandit
Apart from the undesirable stock extensions, this gun is frankly gorgeous. The engraving is superb, even the screws hidden under the forend are engraved

welshwarrior
Looks good that extension could do with a refresh worth doing properly in walnut on a nice gun as well.

spandit
Is it a e.m.reily Very nice gun hope you enjoy shooting it It is. Not expensive, either. I've only fired it once (missed the pigeon...) but chances are it's over 100 years old (apart from newer barrels). Once my invitation to shoot the Balmoral Estate comes through (same envelope as my OBE, I expect) I won't feel embarrassed getting it out, until they see what a dreadful shot I am - at least they'll be distracted that my wellies aren't the "right" brand and my Range Rover looks more like a Mondeo... Looks good that extension could do with a refresh worth doing properly in walnut on a nice gun as well. I'm guessing that would cost more than I paid for the gun, though. Changing the colour might help considerably - or I could strap a leather extension over it?

I'd heard that they weren't actually gunmakers but it doesn't really bother me - at the end of the day, it's an attractively engraved metal tube. masmiffy
A mate found a Riley 16g hammer gun in a loft. Sadly its looking a bit sad firing pins missing and bores a bit worse for wear. Shame really guess its to an RFD with it to get it chopped up!!
spandit
Could it not be an antique and thus exempt? If the pins are missing it's not going to fire anyway

If the pins are missing it's not going to fire anyway Not really as you can still get ammo easily and knock new strikers on a lathe in an hour or so.
