Since there are so many people in this area... I have decided to get to know each other better... and to be able to put a name to a face... it would be a great idea to all meet up on a weekend at bransburton shooting ground for a spot of clays.

I am thinking that the 3rd or 4th of feb

or

the 10th or 11th??

Who can make it? and on what day.

I had alot of replys from the day out at one of my farms... I think that if your going to go out with someone shooting you should know that they can shoot...... so whos up for it???

LG you have no excuse.... and Darebear.... your happily welcome to come!!!!!

I have sent this message to the many people who replied to my original meeting/ days shooting.

After a conversation with another member on here... I have decided that for those who are serious about meeting up and shooting together in a field... should be able to make a day of clays...

It doesnt have to be a fancy day out.. or expensive.. but it would be nice to see commitment, safety, and also ensure that everyone can get on.

This is a great chance to not only assure yourself that I am not a nutter!!! but also a chance to get to know other members and maybe just maybe... you might get a chance to go and shoot on there lands..... with them! It can be a valuable meeting.... we have alot of land around this way... and would be a nice chance to get some differant scenery etc.... and maybe learn some new tactics, or confirm what you already knew.

anyway heres the pm I sent to those who have pm'd me

Hi bud,

I have decided to organise a good meet with some members... this way it will be easier to see if we/they can get on before going to a field with eachother.

I have decided that the 11th of feb will be suitable... and a clay shoot to be arranged near hull/ bransburton ...

Can you make it that day.

If so or if not please reply to the meet section on the forum.

Thanks again.

I hope we can shoot soon....

Its always better to be safe than sorry... and also to get to know eachother...

There may be a better chance of knowing other members and possibly shooting with them as well...

Thanks again.

Jon

Can't make the 11th Jon as i will be on nights (sat, sun mon,) However i should be able to take a drive over to hopefully meet a few of the others for an hour or so later in the day, depending on what time you kick off and finish that is.??

(UNLESS MY OLD WAR WOUND PLAYS UP AROUND THAT DATE :good::lol: )

Sutty,

I guess there is no need for me to ask you on sunday if your comming now :good:

It would be nice to see you up there.... you can also meet the other members...

The time will be arranged.... but I will call you and keep you informed as to when it will be happening

so you can say hi..... and people will know who you are.

anyway theres plenty of time people to put your name down...

so please do..

and I am surprised that alot of people who wanted a quick shoot in a field havnt even replied.... :P if you can make it to a quick days shoot in a field... why cant people make it nearly a month in advance for shooting and a meet at clays....?:P??

Here here :good:

Come on lets see as MANY people going as possible! It's not often we get together as a group but it SHOULD be good for a laugh

I have to travel 150 miles to get there and if I can make it in my old Shed then so can a lot of you chaps :P

I know it's Sunday the 11th but I can offer a lift down on Friday 9th "evening" if you can find accomodation down there and want to stop the weekend!

OK!

Can i make a request here please!

If people are coming from an area another member can't make it from due to transport etc is there a possibility of Car Sharing?

So what i mean is IF you can't make it solely due to transport pipe up and then others can see if you Local and offer a lift!

As i say i am willing to give people a lift down on the Friday and back again on the sunday.

That goes for people living near (just off) the A1 south between Newcastle and Hull i am willing to give a lift to but as i say I am going down on the Friday evening the 9th and won't be heading back till sunday the 11th so it would be best if you can sort out acomodation whilst your there.

OR if you have a Car and are only coming for the day perhaps you can offer a lift to others?

Just a thought and in the hope it MAY increase the numbers :look:

I'd love to come but 190 miles is a bit far for one day..

Have fun chaps!

Not too far for me, I drove there one Sunday and won the North of England Team selection shoot back in the early 90's, I didn't realise the ground was still going...!!

Have a good day, chaps.

I don't suppose any of you fancy a trip down to Dartford on Sunday 21st..??

hi jon was just wondering how much it would cost for the day .

just been on a site called thornton enterprises catwick lane brandesburton not bransburton .

east yorkshire just wondered if ide got the rite one mate. cus when i put in a search for

bransburton it didnt come up with owt.it says a group of ten shooting a 1000 clays would be 160 quid thats 16 quid a head which i thinks very good. the other options were 50 notes for 50 clays or 30 for 25.

hope ive got the rite one. cheers paddy

Baikal boy,

You have the right one mate, its "formal" name is Humerside shooting ground and it is run via Thornton enterprises.

As for cost ,not sure, but i would't expect it to be much over the £16 you mention, (dont quote me on that)

cheers Sutty
