Are they worth it? What is good to cook in it? Etc....etc.. Many thanks Phil
Catweazle
We've got one, but don't use it, that probably tells you enough.
Zulu
Looked at it after they 1st came out and mixed reviews , some scathing re setting on fire and parts hard to come by and expensive , may have improved the model now though , think Phillips do a similar device . phaedra1106
Don't bother, been there and got rid of it. Biggest problems are the lack of capacity and the amount of time they take. Do the decent thing, buy a nice deep fat fryer and a bag of spuds and have some proper chips or if you must be healthier use McCains frozen ones and an oven :(
maxus77
**** chips take longer than driving 30 mile round trip and longer than making healthy oven chips say slimming world way, lasted a week before it got sold

I could go on and on and but its a teefal NOT an ariston I'm with you on this - Best chips outside of a chippy ! Get the right potatoes (cheap big bag) cut into quarters and cook for 40 mins - they just begin to break up and are stunning. We use rapeseed oil in ours as it takes greater heat than olive oil. Try carrots / parsnips for 20 mins and they taste like they've been roasted. Never tried anything else really, but friends do pasta and stuff and say its good. Not everything suits everybody, but we get on well with ours and had it for 18 months with no issues. ATB
