Rimfireboy
I think you will find they have ceased production, whenever your RFD runs out of stock that's it! Yep, can't see much future for these really...

Dekers
Catch a grip lads.hornady making away at them.the yanks use the calibre and the supply will continue. My understanding is CCI make all the HM2, including Hornady, I have no axe to grid on this calibre but anyone buying one now needs a seriously good reason or have money to burn! tweedledee
Just a wee update. I emailed hornady and they said like any other calibres in the states they cannot keep up with demand.panic buying due to possible gun law changes. They have no intention whatsoever to discontinue the round whatsoever.
Bewsher500
ha ha usual ******** about unloved calibre being discontinued keep it up I say leaves more on the shelves for me and keeps the price down! I love my M2 and you can be pedantic all you like about the .22lr ammo and the energy range you can buy ammo for the ones at the high end are pants and grouping in HV ammo is famously ****! no-one over here uses the .22lr to deliver 200ftlbs of energy...if they do they in less numbers than M2 owners!! on that basis the M2 fits perfectly between 22lr shooting subs and something more fruity like a hornet or HMR if you must my problem is I dont see the HMR as anything like a hornet. its not good enough to chose for a dedicated fox gun IMO and it is way too much for rabbits and ******* expensive!! it also single holes out to 100yds something my HMR has never done I use the .22lr for silent bunnies out to 80-90-100yds the M2 for longer range bunnies and more importantly crows/magpies its flat to 110-120 and easily shootable out to 150yds+ WMR for CQC foxing as it packs a bigger punch than the HMR but more often than not I use .222 for foxes, small deer and longer range stuff fits in perfectly in my book
