The Ghost
littlerob, as said use your Baretta they are great guns for all conditions. I use my Extrema 2 more for pigeon shooting but got it for wildfowling, my first great love. Dawntredder, I will be shooting in the North East on 26th & 27th Dec. with family & friends then over to Cumbria shooting for more of the same until 1st Jan 2014. Most of my shooting has been in the North of England this past year, I am a long way from home but have been made to feel welcome by some like minded men. I only hope they have enjoyed my company while out shooting, I also thank all those in the Fens who have opened their permissions to my family & I in the past years. If you ever find yourself needing a days shooting and are down this way give me a PM and we will sort some great shooting out for you...til then have a Happy Christmas and great 2014 Edited December 22, 2013 by The Ghost

dawntredder
Really so did someone else post this from your account ? speak for yourself av had all best autos and now I use cheaper ones hatsan and the revos are used by someone else I know and they never give any problems!..as for berettas and versa max which both fell to bits, and a benelli super nova absolute garbage guns in my opinion,so little rob do not be listening to fenboy he is talking tosh and knows nowt the hatsans and revo's will do same job as the expensive ones that will fall to bits before for the bomb proof hat-stands atb The guy was asking if he should use his beretta or buy another cheap gun for the marsh , my advice was to use the beretta because you need a reliable gun and from my own experience and that of several people I shoot with contary to your opinion The Escorts are rubbish when compared to all the other brands you have mentioned. You have Jumped in on this thread and started slinging personal insults at me the same as you have on the polestar thread and as I said on that one , I have a thick skin and you are making yourself look a plank benelli super nova garbage gun not any other benelli's...versa max was best I shot until the bolt handle fell off..and every beretta I had jammed to much, and I am entitled to my opinion on any thread, but that's what I've been saying all along you run the show so best keep in line!....NOT! Chad63
Got a mate who bought an Escort and guess what? It kept jamming and bits fell off! So he upgraded to an SBE and guess what? It kept jamming! So he changed it to an Extrema 2 and guess what? It kept jamming! So he changed that to a SX3 and guess what? It wouldn't cycle 28gr duck loads! So he changed that to a Lincoln o/u and guess what? IT DON'T JAM & FIRES ANYTHING HE PUTS THROUGH IT.........................

So lets get this right , your entitled to an opinion ------ but I am not ? My OPINION was and still is that a Hatsan is not a good choice for the Marsh as they are unreliable . But as you shoot a Hatsan , you did not like my OPINION and started slagging me off like a 4 year old having a tantrum even stalking me on to other threads to do a little more slagging me off on there because you did not agree with my OPINION As I said , you are making yourself look a plank mate
The Ghost
What do you call a Pigeon Watch member with an opinion?.....Wrong. We all have the right to air our opinions on this forum, it is up to the reader to accept or reject it. When you get to the point where you refuse to accept others opinions and try to enforce yours on them you need to ask yourself is PW for me. The Hatsan is the Skoda of the gun world with many owners loving them, you will never stop others having their own opinion dawntredder. If the Hatsan was more like the Skoda that is made out of cake, the one from the television advert...more people would love it.

sitsinhedges
Littlerob have you ever thought about having your Urika steel shot proofed? Can't see the latest versions being much different from the older ones so I bet it would pass OK. Birmingham Proof House could advise you and do it while you wait if you want. I wouldn't mind a go at wildfowling myself but all that mud and tides malarkey sounds a bit daunting :o Edited December 23, 2013 by sitsinhedges

The mud can be irritating but there are plenty of spots you can stay clean depending on what marshes you are on

ayano3
All this could be immaterial if little rob thinks our sport is naff and its not for him. Other than asking on here has he looked into day tickets or club websites ?? I have discovered things don't happen unless you help yourself at times. fenboy
WXPs are made in Turkey in the same place as Hatsans (apparently). Quite possibly so are some Beretta barrels, the thing is they go through Beretta / Browning quality control and are made to their standards.
