Paulywauly
Right now!,I need to get off this fence!!! Ive narrowed my options for my young lads(10) next gun to a lightweight 20ga.O/U. He has tried a Dan arm which suited him well with 21grm loads. I also have an option of a Bettinsoli Xtra Light and know that I can get a Yildiz Youth model, all for around the same money to change up from his Inverstarm .410. Any opinions/experience? Shropshire_Lad
My daughter shoots a Bettinsoli 20 bore. The only problem we have had is the barrel selector drifting into the middle, not either right or left, so have to be sure when you push it forward it is to one side or the other. Never had a double discharge or any other problem . Can't comment on the others as I have never owned or shot one. atvb Paul. p.s. hers is a mk 111 with an adjustable stock. figgy
I have a Yildiz 28 bore fantastic gun and a bargain at the cost of them. A few lads I shoot with have now also bought them for game shooting and another friend has ordered a 20 bore lefty for his Mrs. The local stockist is selling loads of them. They also use Beretta Mobil choke tubes. Figgy
WGD
I got my son a 28g Yildiz last summer, it hasn't put a foot wrong and is a lovely wee gun to shoot with. I checked the reputation through a friend in the trade and the feedback was that they are not fancy but sound and reliable.
aris
I have read that the Yildiz 28g uses the 20g action. Does anyone know if you can put 28b barrels on a 20g Yildiz? I know Beretta and several other manufacturers do a combo gun like this - at a cost!

Think the Beretta version needs a different fore end too as the wood is too loose on the 28 gauge barrels compared to the 20 gauge ones. Beretta sell it as a bundle with everything you need for both gauges - £2750 RRP
Westley
I have a 20 bore Yildiz which is a great little gun. I looked at the 28 bore model but it seemed to be 20 bore action and barrels and appeared slightly heavier, but that could have been the balance. Using 21 gram cartridges through the gun, I have had no recoil issues with the people that I have instructed. I am not sure if barrels are interchangeable but can not really see the need to try. Leiopython
I have a Bettinsoli Talento 20g and I thinks it's fab. Really well balanced and light. I've had no issues with barrel selector. Sounds sweet too!! The major plus for me is it's weight, I rough shoot so constantly have it on the crook of my arm for hours and it's quite comfy
