welshwarrior
I've thought about having it tightened, but didn't realise it was as easy as replacing a couple of components. What would you guesstimate this would cost at a gunsmiths?? Hinge pins £50 pins and U bolt £130 ish.
chesterse
If you go to the Beretta World this year take it along and GMK's gunsmith Malcolm will fix it for you at a very reasonable price!
100milesaway
The clue here lies in your original post. You've a long neck and your shooting well with it. Leave well alone. from Auntie.
PAV331
Sorry for the late reply and thanks for your comments. I pattern plated the gun a few days ago. It is shooting high (as expected)but the whole pattern 100/0, and only got increasingly higher the further back I went. Then patterned the sporter, it was about 70/30. I then shot a couple of rounds of ESP with the sporter and found that I was connecting with my 'problem birds' a hell of a lot more. I'm going to use the sporter this Sunday for 100 registered and see how I get on, i do prefer the weight and trigger on the trap gun though but I guess it's the hits that count. The funny thing is, I see about the same amount of rib on both guns, can't work that one out.
chesterse
Hi, I have to say that 'pitch' is probably the most overlooked measurement when people discuss gun fit. The pitch or stand out, varies greatly, even on guns of the same make/model. If you Google shotgun fit and then read some of the articles from people who are far more knowledgeable than I, pitch will be explained in more detail. At least if it does not work, remove and your gun will still measure the same as it does know ![/quoteI shoot my 682xtrap with the original concave trap pad, I find it sits nicely in the shoulder and gives consistent mounts. If I had the problem I would try changing the kick eez pad for an original one. I can only speak from personal experience, I have found that different pads can make the gun shoot high or low.
