SPEEDY
The day started at 7am with me getting out of bed suffering from a friendly "little" taste test with the neighbour of our respective home brews, I had just put on the kettle and swallowed a fist full of Paracetamol when Mitch and his mate arrived. We had arranged this day to give his Staghound Storm a run with my dog Girl so it could hopefully pick things up form my experienced dog. I was expecting Jamie and a mate of ours around 1-2am but after sitting around the house until 830am I gave him a call, the short story is they wouldn't make it so we loaded up and went a hunting. We started off Ferreting a few small warrens on the back of the property so that Girl could show Storm the ropes, This was only Girl and my 3rd time Ferreting but once the Rabbits started to bolt she knew what to do. We went for a walk around the back paddock after doing a few warrens to see if we could get the dogs onto a Fox or a Hare, It was too hot however and all that we saw was one Hare at a distance. We went to the front paddock then and broke out the Nets and got started with some serious Ferreting My IAC lever action in full swing. And the result. A great pic of Girl right up a Rabbits clacker. My mornings work. The afternoons tally. All in all it was a top day with great memories and we all taught each other something new, oh and many a bunny hit the dust 45 in "recovered" total as Girl liked to run off with a fresh kill so that Storm wouldn't get it. SPEEDY
some nice fat connies there matey...great photo's............................the guns a new one on me to...what is it?? It's an IAC model 1887 lever action 12ga, it's the only repeating 12ga that you can own in Australia since they banned pump and semi autos The funny thing is that it's actually faster then a pump action and it holds 7 rounds, just don't tell the pollies

SPEEDY
Cracking Pics mate and one good looking Bitch too Looks a LOT like my Portuguese Podengo but with longer legs LG She is a Staghound (Deerhound X Greyhound) a very popular breed down here, she is actually a runt and about 3"-4" shorter then most Staghounds but she is the fastest Coursing dog that I have seen yet. I have a soft spot for runts anyway, IMO they make the best dogs for some reason.
