Mentalmac
Ended up being woken up by the kids at 6am and not able to drift back off, so got my self out of bed and headed down to my perm with my HMR in hand. Sat in car and watched until I could see enough to be able to shoot with natural light and decided time to go and see what's about - wow - -2 degrees and mist and crunch floor etc... Saw a rabbit at about 75 yards and decided to go for it after keeping watch or a while until it was lighter, all the while my fingers felt like they were starting to get frost bite, and my knees from kneeling on the frost were beginning to warm up from warming the frost into water instead, Quick shot and thump and had one in the bag. Ended up not seeing any other rabbits, saw some pigeons but didn't have my shotgun and watched a fox walkin up an down the hedge but wasn't the right side of hedge (could see him through the branches) plus Essex police don't allow HMR for fox, so he is free for another time. All in a a beautiful morning and a pleasure to see the world waking up again. :-)

chrisjpainter
Superb photos mate; what a morning to be out in! One of those times when what you shoot is almost incidental (but very tasty...)

Mentalmac
Lets hope your next pictures will be "Duck" See you on Sunday I hope so :-). I was terrible Saturday on the clays for the first half, and invincible second half, kept missing behind when the shot was in view for ages, much better on the fast ones! Made some guys giggle at the fennes by hitting everything on the oscillator for 20 odd shots and then missed a real sitter whilst showing my other half the ropes as it were! Cheers guys, it was such a gorgeous morning thought it would be nice to share the view for those who couldn't make it out :-)
Liamey
I would trade you the -2 any day lol for our usual -10 on a good day. Having said that it was unusually warm here today at +9 which enabled me to tie some salmon flies rather than snow blow the drive. I really like the first picture. Sounds like you had an awesome morning.
