Catamong
Steve, Most people simply don't bother nowadays, it's too much time and effort if your wanting ordinary 12 bore clay loads, also you want consistent performance from a clay load, not a Boomer followed by a Blooper, so keep your local dealer happy and buy from him. Lord Geordie
Hi I am looking for a reloader to reload my own 12 bore ammo can you recomend any that are not to complicated to use that will get me realoding and could you give rough costs I am a beginer...... BEFORE you start reloading Read up as much as you can then ask for info from other reloaders and then READ AGAIN. It's not something where you just buy components and bung them together it CAN be dangerous if you don't know what your doing. Mixing the wrong primers with the wrong powders etc Perhaps if you know someone who has reloaded for quite a while ask for help and info and pay attention. If your stuck ASK don't play the ignorance card and end up in hospital. There are loads of people on here who reload their won more than willing to point you in the right direction. It's something that CAN take up a lot of time but the results (as stated earlier) can bring a smile to your face when you use a Load you can't buy to bring down your quarry. So long as you know whats what you should be fine but as i say IF in doubt just ask one of lads who reload and i have no doubt you will find all the help you need. I was reading some of these Lee reloading stations don't recomend certain Primers and it is advised that you use SMALL numbers at a time incase if accidents LG
stevethevanman
I got my one in today as well. the article gives step by step instructions, from removing the old primer to crimping the end of your own cartridge.
Dunkield
Steve, have a word with Henry D or Pavman they do this. It isn't worth it for clay cartridges as Cat has said, but for wildfowling and the like it may well be worth it
Ferret Master
Just seen this post. I've just asked a very similar set of questions as I'm interested in reloading for my 20 bore. FM

Well HD seems to be well versed at Spanking Botts and has knowledge of reloading so perhaps HE can step in as Teacher - hall moniotor - AND head master Think i will stuff an old magazine down the back of my trousers B) LG

bobt
look for a Lee loader, you can pick one up for about £20-30. I had 2 until my mate decided to borrow one, and drove over it in the garage?
