-Mongrel-
I ask as I spooked about 40 pigeons out of them when dog walking yesterday.
Dbw1shrops
Looks like some type of ivy judgeing by the berries
39TDS
Ivy To be more precise, mature foliage of ivy. The leaves on younger growth are the more typical ivy leaf shape.
-Mongrel-
Really? Is there a shrub ivy then as this is definitely a large bush and not climbing? Also, is ivy not toxic? I don't think they were roosting, too early, too warm and wind free.
fenboy
Pigeon love ivy berries so it cannot be toxic to them
39TDS
Definitely ivy and a major part of a pigeons diet.
JDog
There is no question the plant is Hedera helix or Common Ivy. With no structural support it can grow bush like. Pigeons round here are just beginning to get on Ivy berries. The decoying is difficult if not impossible if that is what they want.
