Tinribz
Im having a problem with my aya 53 im left handed my gun is right handed and i keep catching the second trigger when pulling the first and both are going off at pretty much the same time just randomly. The question im asking is can i have the triggers swapped over so the longer second trigger is hiddern behind the first as it is when right handed making it impossible to catch i need to have it sent to a gunsmith because it has a slight knocking when you close it the head rattles against the barrel so my thinking is i could have done at the same time cheers guys
wymberley
If you mean that the barrels are loose against the standing face - 'off the face', I wouldn't mind a wager that the second barrel is going off due to a worn sear/recoil. A visit to the 'smith sounds like an eminently sensible idea.
Tinribz
Its strange sometimes i can fire 20-30 shots and it dont happen earlyer it happened 2 or 3 times after a box of carts i thought i mite be rubbing the the second trigger
88b
I've had the same problem a few times with my right handed SxS as I'm left handed. Have you tried pulling the back trigger first ? Mines 1/4 and 1/2 choke so sometimes I shoot the left barrel first, especially if I shoot skeet on stand 4 on the pair.
JohnfromUK
If the gun is loose, get it fixed. AyAs have a replaceable joint pin. Using it 'loose' will accelerate wear and make it harder to fix. Looseness will be increased by 'double discharge' which will put big forces on the closure parts. I can't comment on the triggers as I don't know, but AyA did make true left handed guns, with reversed triggers, opening lever etc. The 53 is normally a sound and very robust gun Edited February 9, 2014 by JohnfromUK
Tinribz
Ive just had it multi choked so i could use the bak trigger first and move the chokes about but to be honest if posible i would prefer to have the triggers changed if availible and not to pricey
Paul223
The triggers will swap over, might require a little tweak if they are canted but otherwise should be straight forward
welshwarrior
As above asi may be able to provide trigger shaped to the left not right and a little fitting you problem will be solved left barrel front trigger IF thats the issue get the gun fully serviced while the triggers are out. Gunman
If the front trigger is articulated then it will probably not swop over as they usualy have wider blade than the back , they can be set so they are more friendly to a lefty . Double discharge or both going off together is another problem . Could be that the sears are worn or that they are to hard on the trigger blades .I would consider the gun to be unsafe as it is and strongly advise caution until it is fixed .
