TaxiDriver
If you have one in your van or youre refurbing a property or something please Im looking for a s/h replacement, just the top part that you adjust/turn to vary the temperature, Alternatively, I believe its possible to get a simple cap that can go on in place of the adjustable valve head to close the valve off. The current one was donkeys years old and the plastic has just broken down and fallen apart, the valve itself is working fine I just need a new valve top so that I can screw it down to close off the valve, ( I believe its possible to get a simple cap that can go on in place of the adjustable valve head to close the valve off)

TaxiDriver
Cheers Jay, Only thing worries me, are they a common size ? Im only trying to save the bother and huge expense of having the system drained down so valve can be replaced since its a rental property and the landlord's a bit lax, (and the rent is cheaper than what it could be so dont wanna upset things)

bruno22rf
If you pop into your local DIY store I think you will find that these valves come with a cap that shuts the valve off-its normally floating around in the box and can easily erm....fall out. Del T
There's loads of different makes and different sizes so you really need to know what brand it is. We have a box full of caps in the van for all the different valves.
