fenboy
The only one I can think of would be gamebore impact which they do in a 30 gram 3 shot . Even then you will need to keep the range sensible

Big Mat
I know of one person who shoots a 20 bore on the marsh, he uses homeloaded ITM for the geese. There was a thread on here about 20 bore and goose. Need to load your own for 20 bore, hevi shot or similar.

6.5x55SE
I've used a 20ga on Geese for years. Tungsten Matrix would be my first choice in factory loads but Remington and Saga Steel are both good to. I mainly use Steel homeload but a friend loaded some 1oz 3 Hevi Shot for my Grandson The results have to be seen to believe. No matter what you use get them in range get up front of the Goose and enjoy good results oh and I use 1/4 an 1/2 Extended Steel prof chokes
kent
Hi I was just wondering if there is a 20g cartridge that would be sutible for geese decoying ? Cheers Not my first choice but you can kill anything with anything if you get the correct range. One guy I know of says he uses a .410 occasionally for the crack choosing only very low birds. I was testing some no.5 .410 lead today, 138 pellets in 2ft at 25 yards so I guess if it were legal they should kill a goose head and neck if it were legal. If you have the choice choose a bigger gun, but paddles down over the top of the decoys and assuming they are Canadas on general licence at this time of year, cant see why not
Dominicrobed
Cheers guys that's all food for thought , no not shooting geese at the moment just about to book up for next season a few guided goose flights and it got me thinking as to wether I could use my favourite gun or not. Thanks again Dom
