kent
Look towards Alliant Steel powder and SAM1 wads IMO. but find the data then buy the components
bay firearms
Coockoff, something around 1250 - 1300fps. Kent, yea I've seen the alliant steel powder, if you have any recipes for that I would be greatful. I'm at the mercy of superior knowledge on steel fowling loads for 2 3/4'' carts, so any info is greatly received.

Big Mat
Personally i'd have the speed up in the 1450 fps range. Why have you chosen that speed?
pestcontrol1
as whats been said above you need speed with steel to work at 1300 fps you would just end up with pricked birds you are better off using a powder that you can get more speed out of and end up making a useable cartaridge
Guest cookoff013
for 32g steel loads in 12gauge you can use A0 / techna-n. those powders are cheaper and there is data out there. especially if the speeds are 1300. easily achieved. as for the 2s, yes they will be good even at 1300fps. i`m still lead to believe that even that will fit in a 12-70mm case.. bay firearms
Just looked at the vectan data, there published recipe (the one I was looking at for AO) gives 1365fps. The same load with techa-n is 1275....
Big Mat
Why do you want it at that speed? Most of us loading steel try and load on the faster side, 1450/1500fps

Most of us loading steel try and load on the faster side, 1450/1500fps And faster
bay firearms
Could someone furnish me with some recipes for around the 1450 - 1500 fps using Vectan AO. Big Mat
CBS0 is also good, but i've got no data for it with 32 gram, only 28 gram in 2 3/
pestcontrol1
i will have a look today and see what i have data wise. if your flighting ducks onto a pond with the shot size that youu have you could also look at lighter loads and still have a good pellet count
