Kes
Anyone any info on how long this should take? I dropped my cert off a fortnight ago by hand and the form was posted a week (at least) before that? Should I just wait ? Sent an e-mail asking if any problems or extra info requd - no reply? Any thoughts Thanks for any advice.
scobydog
Cheshire force seem to be a law unto themselves regarding certs, mine went for a change of address took 6 weeks to return it !!! GMP did it in 3 days when I was under them and hand delivered. Good luck with it. S

will_gleave
Your rite about cheshire, my friend sent his fac application in 2 1/2 months ago and heard nothing, he's called them a number of times to be told, "sorry but its busy as there are only 2 of us and we are concentrating on renewals before anything else, we are waiting for new people to start after they've completed their training". To me thats not good enough but what can you do. I put in a variation in with manchester an got it back within a week. Frenchieboy
Lancashire have just done a 1 for 1 plus a couple of other changes that I requested on my certificate within a 3 working day turnaround. I'm sure that most people that come under Lancashire will agree with me when I say "Hat's off to Lancashire Firearms Department, the staff there really are excellent"!
