said gun is mine!!!!. i can confirm its 686special and 76 model, shop has allready offered me £600 as trade in, good luck at finding one sub £600 ive looked in the past, the guy who is interested in it is more than welcome to useit on some land i got with no issues,,,,,and if he would like to take it away and borrow it for 72hrs i have no issues with that atall.

as mentioned onl down side is some rubbing off on the barrels from forearms, action is all tight and is infact better than the new ones, yes it has fixed choke and that dont make you miss the clays or birds as used it on both.

I've had a look at pictures of this gun it is a Beretta 686 and has all the tell tales of a Special but I've not seen the engraving on the underside of the action.

Please confirm the 2 letter date code as I can find any reference to a 686 before 1984, and your gun has the hall mark 80's barrel coating from the mid 80's 682 and 686 special instead of blacking.
