paddymax123
hi guys I have been looking at getting a suppressed 410 to replace my old bolt action one. I have been looking at the 3 shot .410 pump hushpower so my question is guys please can you put forward any advice or recommendations forward about them as I have been unable to fire one as I cant find them second hand. Also is it true you can only use fibre wads through them due to the porting in the suppressor? thanks Paddymax123
Catweazle
I can't comment on the .410, but I fire all sorts through my 12g Mossberg Hushpower, no problems so far.
HW682
This is from Saddlery and Gunroom website .. http://www.saddleryandgunroom.co.uk/Gunroom/hushpower/Hushpower%20Maintenance%20and%20Cleaning.pdf The Hushpower range can be shot with any cartridges suitable for the chamber length of each model, BUT for maximum noise reduction and safety we recommend FELT wad, subsonic cartridges. If you have to use plastic wadded cartridges, be extra vigilant about ensuring the barrel is clear after each shot. If you are using a multichoke Hushpower, you must use ½ choke or tighter. If you wish to use a more open choke please contact Hushpower first on +44 (0)1959 573089. Hope that helps. Where abouts are you?
alendil
I did have mossberg pump .410 and did put about 1500 carts in total. never any problem just clean mod every 100-150 shots and put some copper grease or oil on thread in moderator so it want get stuck. my perform best with 2,5 inch eleys non subs. and it was better (quieter) than my s410 airgun and subs were much louder. Longbower
I would agree, 2.5 eley carts , are just spookily quiet. I never cleaned out my moderator, it just got quieter and quieter. I changed to a Bretton and Gaucher, which is brilliant but single shot.
