fenboy
After a couple of reasonable bags in the last couple of weeks I was hoping things were looking positive for a better season.Looks like I was wrong as over the last couple of days I have looked at 10 different pea fields and a couple of mustard and have not see a single pigeon on any of them, hope this is not a sign of things to come Edited April 24, 2014 by fenboy
TIGHTCHOKE
I would love to know where they all are! There is someone set up on the field next to work, he's had 5 shots in 3 hours!

la bala
My son has found a bald rape field this afternoon with about 1000 on it, now going frantic trying to find who owns it before tommorrow, you wouldnt believe he is off on a diving holiday tommorrow night. aga man
Same here fenboy just when it looked like numbers where starting to build on peas, they have deserted them even though they have not been shot at. A lot pigeons seem to be favouring clover here at the minute with good numbers on school fields and sports pitches. Also there in the beech trees on buds. hopefully they will return to the peas at some point.
shakin stevens
seen more back in the woods than i have on fields, plenty of protein full buds to be had, worst season in years for me never had it like this.
TIGHTCHOKE
When driving home yesterday evening there were several groups of wood pigeons on a pea field at the junction of the A47 and the A1. I've never seen anyone shooting this field though!

Thats similar here (North east Lincs) very few on the peas or rape but plenty in the old Bull field, I did wonder what was so attractive to them there.
