HDAV
The thing I don't understand is why then didn't investigate this 3 years ago and come knocking on our door? They are happy with my stories etc and are now going to pass my information on to the FEO to make a decision on my license. Been told ill receive a letter within the next few weeks granting or not granting me a license. Fingers crossed! Matt So no home visit? Them only following up this alleged incident when you applied for an SGC is bonkers tho.... And as there was no conviction I don't see what they could have done anyway? parapilot
I Bet if your cert is granted there is a very high chance it will be hand delivered by the feo who will nip in to check your cabinet. Good news as it will speed it up no post

Good news as it will speed it up no post Yeh I think this is what will happen. They said I would have a letter in the next 2-4 weeks (they said they would try and get it sooner as ive already been waiting 16 weeks) stating if ive been granted a cert or not. Im glad it had a positive outcome as well, I was a little apprehensive at first but went in knowing id done nothing wrong and it must be a error/misunderstanding that could be easily be sorted. jimmyb79
Still sounds a bit weird to me. Either that, or it's downright lazy police work. A quick visit to your house after the alleged incident would have confirmed you were not the suspect, and the most needed would have a been a statement from you to say you weren't there. Still, alls well that ends well hopefully!

Mentalmac
Glad its all sorted.... My FEO (when he came to my house for the interview) was very interested to see my wife straight from the off.... This was because the previous (female) tenant of the house I bought was a junkie scumbag with a rap sheet as long as your arm for everything from shop lifting to GBH. He said that there was a possibility that I could have married her !!!!!! and that he'd seen stranger things! He had brought her records with him and there must have been 20 sheets for A4 paper. Needless to say that after seeing my wife he was put at ease.... But like he said he has seen and heard of some wierder situations. Cheers Jeff I had similar to this when I changed address. The previous tenant in my house had a son who was up to his ears in crime. Knife attacks galore. When I phoned and chased my licence the FEO was like "ah, hang on, your file is on my pile but marked with a investigate post it!" and as he knows me we discussed it and I luckily pre-empted it and said "Is this because of my new address and the previous tenant" etc... After a quick conversation about how she has definitely left and moved away and I know her in no other capacity other than moving into her house as she left all was fine. At least they check though eh?
Greymaster
Why not interview over the phone?
