steve_b_wales
I went to reload some of the above cases this morning, and found that the neck was too slack, and the head dropped into the case. Would I be able to resize them by removing the decapping pin to avoid hitting the primer, and trying again?

EMcC
Or use a Lee Loadall just to resize the necks.
henry931
Is the problem that the neck isn't being sized down enough by the outer body of the die? or is it than the expander mandrel is actually too wide in diameter? If it's the first removing the expander isn't going to help. I'd probably get a collet/bushing neck die and use the one you have as a body die. As above really, question needs to be asked why if you used the decapping and full length die has it not re sized the neck ? That should do all those jobs in one. Or have you done something wrong ;-)) you should be able to remove tne pin in the die and miss the primer, go through the procedure again, it should resize the neck. If so yes but have you also checked the shoulders don't need pushing back by FLS and the cases are all ok for length?

I did prepare them correctly, but tried my new Lee Quick Trim on the cases, and I think this has caused the problem. I think I may have to use the FLS die and start again. Hopefully, this will rectify the matter.
pestcontrol1
use a marker pen on the neck just a couple of lines from shoulder to mouth then size and you will see how far down the neck you are sizing if any and adjust accordingly

steve_b_wales
The problem that I noticed, was that the head seemed tight when placed on the neck of the case, but as soon as I tried seating it with the press, it fell into the case. I hope I have'nt ruined the remaining cases, as I have around 150 left to load.
