Essex Keeper
So I got the the tac light xsearcher with the three mode red led and first look it was not my thing So I put the red led and neck out of my nightmaster in the xsearcher and put the three mode led and neck in my nightmaster but now it won't change modes I'm about ready to smash it up The xsearcher and night master are amazing with a standard red led What am I doing wrong
Dave-G
I had some clever cloggs thinking it was OK to put my 501b pills into a nm and expect it to work OK, then bitched because they didn't suit the custom made alli adaptors he had made up for him - all without a word to me about what he was experimenting with. He wanted a refund and I had to agree due to distance selling rules. Just saying like because there may be small differences that are not readily apparent. steve_b_wales
Loosen off the neck section a wee bit As above. This will then give you the 3 mode setting.
mick miller
Yes, because the nightmaster is, essentially, a bodge you need to loosen the neck to get the modes to work. That, and the fact that you have to also slacken the head on the threads to focus it, are two reasons why mine barely gets used these days. It's hopeless with an IR drop in if used with digi might vision unless you only want to shoot at a set distance.
keg
i have one and use it with the Ward D Vision. All modes are easy to access and i have left the focus as is and it's been fine.

simon1979
can you get it to stay on the same brightness mode?
sundaybain
can you get it to stay on the same brightness mode? Yes once you have it on the brightest mode when switched on and off it remembers the last mode it was on,just fiddle about with the neck section till you get the brightest mode and leave it at that,it took me a while to get it but got there in the end
